The following project describes about the process of converting an appliance to a solar electric hybrid by using some simple components and easy steps. Read on to know more on this.

The components that would be needed for the project are listed as follows:
- 12V Solar Panel (or other renewable power source)
- 12V Rechargeable Battery.
- Control Circuit
- 12V Power Inverter
- Automatic Switching Circuit
While assembling the project, the battery, solar panel and inverter are fitter into the control circuit so that they are firmly placed. The two things that are needed to be built are the control circuit and the automatic switching circuit that would be helpful while switching the appliances on or off.
One crucial task for the project is to choose the right solar panel that can fulfill all the needs of the electrical appliance. A 5 watt model from the Harbor Freight is used in this case. Any other solar panel can also be used.
One more advantege of the project is that the user can also use any other natural source like wind energy instead of solar energy with simple modifications in the circuit.
