The following project shows a way to create a mega card reader by following some easy steps and using simple components. Read on to know more on this.

The mega card reader actually allows the user to read the data to a 23 pin address bus and then read that data through a 16 pin data bus.

The first step in making the project is to de-solder the wirings from the circuit. After this the plastic is removed to get in to the cartridge.
The project has been tested along with various cartridges like Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Desert Strike, Madden NFL 94, NFL 93, Castle of Illusion and Madden NFL 96.

The project works well with all these listed cartridges, and if the user has any other cartridge then hopefully the project will also handle it successfully.

To make the project work in a proper manner, a lot of coding is done and this can be easily downloaded from the internet and modified as per the requirements. For displaying the results, a two line LCD display has been connected to the TX1 and some simple right to left scrolling has been applied to read a longer data than the LCD length.
