This article shows how an android phone controls an LED strip, which is basically hidden inside a vase by using an IOIO board. The entire setup is complimented by the use of bluetooth. Read on to know more on this.

An onboard camera of an android phone is used in which an app is run that obtains the color value on the board. It automatically compares this with the colors on the LED strip.

For this, some wiringis required. After all the wiring has been done, the next thing to do is to test the LED strip to ensure that it is controlled by the android device.

A Bluetooth module can be connected with the IOIO after checking the IOIO or the address number in the Bluetooth discovery screen. The pairing code is entered as 4545. The holiday IOIO app is installed. Now the LED strip should light up.

All the wires from the LED strip is soldered directly with the IOIO board. Some coding is required in order to complete the project.
