The article describes how an Arduino microcontroller can be used to control a clock. This is a very easy circuit and any amateur electronics enthusiast can try his hand at it. Read on to know more.

The project would require two important components namely the clock and an Arduino Microcontroller.
Although the entire design is very simple, there is one complication involved. The user might find it quite difficult to reverse the voltage to move the clock to the next stage. This is compensated by switching the polarity of the two Arduino Pins.

The coil starts generating the current as soon as it is introduced to the magnetic field. The magnetic field produced is implemented to the permanent gear which is attached to the gear and causes the coil to rotate and line up with the electromagnet. The gear moves at 180 degrees and is attached to other gears that causes the rotation at 1:30 gear rotation.
In the next step, the whole process is repeated in the reverse direction. This is done in order to get the magnetic field in the opposite direction. Moreover, a spring can also be used in order to keep the magnet right back to its desired position.
