The following project will guide you on how to build a Single generator probe, just by following some simple steps that are shown below
Single generator has been a very handy and useful device since its invention, but it also has some limitations that should be eliminated to make it more useful.
The main thing that would be required here is the oscilloscope probe. The oscilloscope probe could be ordered online. The reason behind choosing the oscilloscope probes is that they contain resistor- divider circuits and trimmer capacitors that would eventually get in the way of signalling the generator output.
The strain relief holds the little square box covering the PCB in place. Using a soldering iron, the resistors and trimmer capacitor on the PCB can be removed.
After this, the PCB cover and strain relief is replaced. X1/X10 switch on the probe handle is placed in the predefined X1 position and wrapped using the tapes to make sure it will not be accidently switched to X10. When the switch is in the X10 position a big resistor is switched in series with the tip, which is undesirable.
