This article describes how you can mount your webcam over a mounting hardware so as to make video chatting easier. Read on to know more about this.
The requirements of the project are listed below:
- A Web cam
- Lamp arm in this case
In this project, the webcam being used is the Logitech 1080p webcam Pro C910 and for mounting, a tertial work lamp has been used to make the webcam jig according as per the user’s requirements
Firstly, all the electronic components from the lamp’s arm and the entire fixture from the ends of lamp should be removed. A long arm like structure is built and the webcam is mounted on this structure.
A bracket is made that allows the webcam to fit properly inside it. The bracket should be movable so as to allow the webcam to move on X/Y axis. The bracket should be fixed over the lamp arm and bolted using the M4×25 hex bolts.
After attaching all the components together you will have a working webcam which moves according to your needs and makes video calling and chatting easier than ever.
