Although agriculture isconsidered as an old fashioned field, the fact that it was the earliest user of technology cannot be denied. In the following project a prototype has been discussed that can help the farmers in their harvesting methodologies.
The relation between the agriculture and the technology began with the cotton gin, tractors and hybrid seeds. The invention of genetically engineered plants that are able to protect themselves and are capable to grow in any climatic conditions has been a boon to farmers. Moreover, the production of crops is increasing but it is also true that the demand for these things is increasing relatively faster than the production rate of the crops.
Prospero is the Autonomous Micro Planter‘s working prototype that uses a combination of swarm and game theory and is the first of four steps. It can be organized as a group or “swarm”.

The other three steps involve autonomous robots that tends to the crops, harvests them, and finally one robot that can plant, tend, and harvest. A parallax Propeller chip has been implemented in the Prospero for better navigation. The programming of Prospero enables it to walk in any direction avoiding any obstacle in its path.
