Linux is being extensively used by business personals as an operating system on their workstations but still there are some issues with this operating system as you don’t find an easy way to lock the screens of your computers when you are done with your job.

Another drawback of Linux is that a fast one touch quick view of emails and notifications of your clients is not available. MPD control panel is a cheap and simple solution for all these things.

It is equipped with touch sensor buttons which helps to turn off monitors or pause and play music in a single touch. A rotating knob is also attached to adjust the volume of the music player and it is also equipped with a RGB LED display on which emails and notifications are displayed in a single touch of a touch sensor button.

It is also quite easy to build your own MPD control panel. A groove wire is taken and cut into two pieces. One side is connected to VCC and the other with the ground. The centre wire is linked with any data wire.

An I2C is connected to one of the ports and attached to the potentiometers with one of the analog inputs. An RGB LED is attached to one of the digital ports. Then touch sensor buttons are programmed for the functions that are required.

The final step is to install the software. The whole assembly is placed in a card board box and sealed with tapes. The MPD control panel is now ready for use.
