Take a look at this flame thrower where the fire is sync to the beat of music using a microcontroller. There will always be different patterns which makes it so cool.
The idea is to use a Guitar Hero controller by interfacing it to a microcontroller. The solenoid valves on 5 individual fire poofers would fire off after some relays are powered. Anybody could play this large fire sculpture.
Each time a button on the plastic game guitar is hit, propane flames will shoot up as sampled in the video. The gas comes up to the two manifolds on Firehero. All solenoids branch off of the main line.
