To some of us, remote locking is not so new but using it for doors is quite uncommon. This mod features an RF enabled TI eZ-430 Chronos watch to remotely unlock a wireless door. The door is unlocked using a coded signal from the wristwatch to the electronic box. Compared to other RFID locks, this one has a different approach that is worth building for.

The secret password given by the watch is a sequence of taps on the 3-axiss accelerometer on the watch. The battery of watch could last over 4 years and on the door, the battery may take over a year since the system illustrates low-power consumption.
