This micro MAME cabinet was built as a portable version by putting an old laptop to good use while using acrylic sheets. The internal parts is comprised of an LCD monitor, joystick, pushbuttons, Mini-ITX board, 1GB DDR2 memory, 30GB SSD, PicoPSU, and 80mm fan as shown in the image below. The control panel was made in acrylic where the inside is reinforced with the 192 solution. On the bottom panel are 6 large holes that will cover the screw heads when installing the panel.

The gap between the 2 panels was lessened by sanding down the edge of the top panel and back panel. To test if the components fit, the monitor and the motherboard were installed. The heart of the machine is the control panel which makes a MAME cabinet look like a MAME cabinet. The 2 USB ports have a small bracket placed in the corner. To fill any gaps and some moulding around the button holes, the control panel is reinforced with adhesive. For easy maintenance, the cover for the monitor is mounted behind the marquee where it can be pushed upwards and dragged out.

The buttons are installed along with the orange moulding. Also, the SSD harddisk is mounted with stainless bolts and the 80mm fan is installed. To the bottom panel is the mounting of the mini-ITX motherboard. A piece of steel plate with 4 holes is used to mount the monitor. The USB plugs are made of 2 shortened USB extension cables mounted to a piece of plexiglass with epoxy. Using an external DVD player, Windows XP is installed. The individual games have a trivia and history using the assigned button along with information. An image of the finished cabinet is shown below.
